HIA's Guide to Materials and Workmanship (Non Member)

The HIA Guide to Materials and Workmanship for residential building work has been developed to provide a set of simple, accurate and accepted industry standards and tolerances that can be used to accompany your specification of works. The Guide can be used in place of other similar guides.  

HIA’s Guide to materials and workmanship:

• complements existing HIA contracts and specifications to complete your set of contract documents
• is a set of industry accepted standards and tolerances
• provides clear guidance, in the case of a dispute, as to the acceptable industry practices and standards of workmanship.
