A Voice at the Table

• HIA is acutely aware of the importance of the supply chain to the smooth functioning and future of the housing industry. Through HIA's National and State Manufacturers' Councils, the voice of manufacturers and suppliers is being heard. All manufacturer and supplier members enjoy full voting rights in HIA.
• HIA's views on the housing industry are respected and listened to by Federal, State and Local Governments. HIA enjoys close access to government at the highest levels, a position of influence that reflects very favourably on the high-quality of work prepared by the Association.
• The impact of regulatory change makes it essential that proposed variations to building standards and codes take closely to account the ramifications for the supply chain - that's why HIA staff are involved heavily in shaping the development of building codes and standards.
