Changes to the Fair Work Act
On 28 November 2012, the Federal Government passed the Fair Work Act Amendment Bill 2012 (Bill).
The Bill implements a number of recommendations made by the Fair Work Act Review Panel whose report entitled ‘Towards more productive and equitable workplaces’ concluded that the Act was working well despite making 53 recommendations for change.

Workplace Policies
An employer is entitled to give reasonable directions to their employees. Workplace policies instruct employees on how to carry themselves in the workplace and the standards of behaviour that are expected of them.
