5 Star Is Coming Are You Ready
The State Government has all but confirmed 5 star energy efficiency requirements for new homes will be introduced in January 2009. In a discussion paper launched by the Deputy Premier in late June and titled Improving Sustainable Housing in Queensland the State Government clearly announces an intention to increase the energy rating required for new homes from 3.5/4 stars to five stars. The only unknown is exactly when the new requirements will kick in but the discussion paper suggests January 2009 as the likely start date.

Falls From Heights
