    Premier Home Industry Event Opens in Brisbane

    The Housing Industry Association’s annual Home and Building Expo, the premier event on the home building and renovation industry’s calendar, opens to the public tomorrow (Friday May 5) after a trade only day today at the Brisbane Convention Centre.

    Growth Areas Taskforce Announced By Planning Minister Robert Hulls

    Victorian Planning Minister Rob Hulls has announced a new taskforce to oversee the creation of the Growth Areas Authority. Former Delfin Managing Director and AV Jennings Chief Executive Officer Chris Banks will head the new taskforce. Rob Spence, CEO of the Municipal Association of Victoria and Carol Schwartz, the Director of Highpoint Property Group and chair of the Industry Superannuation Property Trust will be the other two members of the taskforce.

    City of Melbourne to consider new residential 3 zone

    A new residential 3 zone-height control will be considered by the City of Melbourne’s Planning Committee on Tuesday 5 September. Should the proposed new zone be approved by Council, a mandatory 9 metre height restriction will be introduced in parts of South Yarra, Kensington, Parkville, Carlton, East Melbourne and Jolimont and North and West Melbourne.
