How to reference the HIA Guide to Materials and Workmanship (NSW/Hunter/ACT/Vic/Tas)
The HIA Guide has been prepared to assist in disputes with clients.The HIA Guide includes a set of accepted industry standards. In the case of a dispute over defective work or misunderstanding over qualities of workmanship and tolerances it can be used as a point of reference for both the builder and the owner.

Tendering for work funded directly or indirectly by the Australian Government
If you have ever thought of tendering for works as a head contractor or perhaps as a subcontractor for a job that is funded directly or indirectly by the Australian Government, before being granted a tender, or allowed to work on a site for another contractor, you will need to have your industrial instruments assessed against the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry and the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines, reissued June 2006.

I am a roofing fabricator in New South Wales that manufactures and supplies roofing components to be used in the construction of residential dwellings. I am thinking about expanding my business so to include "supply and install" work. If I intend to get other contractors to do the actual installation work, what would be the licensing implications?
