Congratulations Scott Mouthaan, Hunter

Scott, a carpenter and joiner apprentice, impressed this year’s judges with his focus, passion for producing quality work and his willingness to learn new techniques. Having learnt carpentry at school, Scott started his apprenticeship with a small builder who gave him the opportunity to experience a large variety of work such as roofing, concreting and carpentry, on a range of projects ranging from new homes and renovations to extensions and restorations.

Currently completing his apprenticeship with Ben and Daniel Griffiths, and in his second year of his Certificate IV, Scott plans to set up his own carpentry business in the next couple of years.

Judges commented that Scott ‘is articulate, focused and takes pride in the industry he works in’.
