A Canberra company director described as giving significant service to the Housing Industry Association through good times and bad, has been admitted to life membership of HIA.
Announcing the award to Alison Just, of Juste-rite Insulation and Home Improvements, the ACT and Southern NSW Regional President, David Fogg, said Ms Just and her husband, Drew Just, joined HIA in the early 1980s a few years after establishing the company in 1977.
“Their business now employs 13 people and has an emphasis on energy efficiency,” Mr Fogg said. “While building it Alison worked tirelessly for our region both on HIA internal committees and as HIA’s representative externally.
“She has been a member of the regional executive committee for the past 16 years and between 1997 and 1999 was our first female president, serving with great commitment, enthusiasm and leadership.
“Alison has been a powerful voice for HIA, rendering outstanding service to it and the industry generally, for a quarter of a century.”
The award was made during the HIA Home and Building Expo in Brisbane .
