Excess water in concrete (Nat)

The uncontrolled addition of water on site effectively changes the concrete mix design and should not be permitted. Whilst the short-term objective may be achieved, excess water is often the cause of many long-term undesirable effects in concrete such as a detrimental effect on the concrete’s strength and durability. It may also increase the occurrence of cracking, surface delamination and dusting in concrete slabs.
