How to Apply
Step 1 Please read and review the job description for the position.
Step 2 Forward a covering letter detailing why you are suitable for the position along with your updated and current resume. Methods of receipt are listed below.
Step 3 All electronic applications will be notified of the receipt of their application within 48 hours.
Step 4 Short listed applicants will be contacted by human resources and an interview arranged. Those unsuccessful in gaining an interview will be notified via mail usually within 30 days of the closing date specified on the advertisement.
If we require additional information in support of your application, we will contact you directly.
It is HIA’s policy to notify ALL applicants on the status of their application whether they are successful in gaining an interview or not. In many instances we receive a very large number of applications for a single position. Your patience and understanding of any delays in notification is most appreciated.

Please ensure that your resume is sent allowing sufficient time for delivery prior to the position closing date particularly when posting your application. All applications must be received by 5pm on the date of closing.
Tips for applying:
Tip 1 When applying for a position it is recommended that you attach a detailed covering letter outlining your skills and experience relevant to the position you are applying for.
Tip 2 Attach a copy of your resume (preferably in MS Word or PDF format) and ensure it has been updated to include your most recent employment history. Employment history should be in chronological order with your most recent employment listed first and please explain any significant gaps in service.
Tip 3 If you are listing referees on your resume make sure you have contacted do them to advise that you are doing so and check that their contact details are up to date. Ensure that your contact details are also updated, including any preference you may have for HIA to make contact with you.
Tip 4 If you are applying via email it is not necessary to send a duplicate copy of your application via mail. Whilst we will accept applications by either method, an electronic version of your application would be our preference.
