HIA Awards

The HIA CSR-Housing Awards represent the pinnacle of achievement in the country’s home building industry. Members begin by entering the competition at state or regional level and winners are celebrated at a series of gala events around the nation towards the end of the year.

Successful entrants at this level will move on to the national awards which in 2008 will be held in Sydney. The finalists in the various categories are named with the winner announced and acclaimed by an audience of 2000. The culmination of this night of nights is the award of Home of the Year representing the very best in construction, design and innovation.

Categories are not limited to construction. In recent awards Business Partner of the Year and Apprentice of the Year have proved popular additions, helping to spread ideas and practices on this important subject through the industry. 

Former winners have praised the awards for injecting an element of healthy competition and promoting the quest for excellence. “Winning an award at either state or national level is better than thousands of dollars spent on advertising,” one said.

Entries are now open for the 2008 regional and state competitions.
