WA has called for nominations for the 2009 Work Safety Awards for Western Australia, which recognise outstanding occupational safety and health management.
The awards recognise and reward outstanding achievement in any of four categories that reduce the risk of work- related injury and accidents.
The four award categories for 2009 are:

Best workplace safety and health management system;

Best workplace safety and health practices in a small business;

Best solution to an identified workplace safety and health issue; and

Best individual contribution to safety and health.
Nominations close on July 10 2009 and entry forms can be obtained by telephoning WorksafeWA on 9327 8777, or from the website atwww.worksafe wa.gov.au
