COVID-19 ongoing requirements for regional Queensland

April 01, 2021

The Queensland Government has announced the three day lockdown which commenced on 29 March will end at noon today.

It is important for members to be aware that some requirements will continue to apply across the entire state for the next fortnight.

What are the additional requirements?

Masks will remain mandatory for a range of indoor areas including indoor workplaces (where it is safe to wear a mask and you can’t physically distance).

You should also continue to comply with all of the current COVID-19 health and hygiene requirements, this includes maintaining social distancing and limiting the number of people on site to 1 person per 4 square metre. If a worksite cannot comply with the 1 person per 4 square metre rule then masks will be required.

To assist members to continue to comply with all COVID-19 health and hygiene requirments HIA’s Making Space on Site guidelines are available.

Can display homes operate as normal?

Display homes can reopen after noon today. However, all visitors to a display home will be required to wear a mask, to check-in and to practice social distancing while in the home.

Staff at display homes should also wear a mask.
