This training program is designed to provide a wide range of essential business skills to support administrative staff working in a small building and construction contracting business.
Focusing on the practical skills and knowledge required by administrative staff - ranging from the organisation of workplace information through to compliance and the maintenance of financial records – this course is an invaluable resource to help lay the foundations of a successful business.

Who would do this training?
Administrative staff, receptionists, payroll officers – or those wishing to move into the administration of a small building and construction contracting business – would benefit from the completion of this qualification.
What do I need before I start?
HIA will conduct a pre-enrolment review with you to make sure that this program is suitable for your needs, current skills and experience.
- Suitable level of English reading, writing and numeracy skills
- Access to an office environment
- at least basic computer skills in spreadsheets, search engines and word processing.
How long will it take?
The program should take around 4 to 6 months to complete, dependent on how this qualification is scheduled in your region. You will need to commit 16 days of face-to-face time for this training. Outside of this allocation of time, you will need to undertake self-directed learning through research and assessments.
