This training program covers the practical skills and knowledge needed by professional Contract Administrators in the low-rise residential sector of the building industry.

On successful completion you will be issued with the Nationally Recognised qualification:

  • CPC40208 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Contract Administration)

This training program consists of an industry supported combination of ten (10) short courses, providing a progressive and practical understanding of each of the essential skill areas.

Who would do this training?

Contract administrators, or those wishing to progress into this role, in small to medium-sized businesses within low-rise residential sector of the building industry

What do I need before I start?

HIA will conduct a pre-enrolment review with you to make sure that this program is suitable for your needs, current skills and experience.

  • Suitable level of English reading, writing and numeracy skills
  • The ability to research, access and interpret complex documents.

Desirable:

  • at least basic computer skills in spreadsheets, search engines and word processing.

How long will it take?

The program could take approximately 6 months to complete, depending on how the training has been scheduled in your region. You will need to commit 19 days of face-to-face learning time for this qualification. Outside of this allocation of time, you will need to undertake self-directed learning through research, project work and assessment tasks

Required resources

During this training, participants must have access to specific resources. Resources may include various Codes and Standards that are relevant to the subject matter. You may already have some or all of these resources, however if you were to purchase all of them the cost would be approximately $105.00. Your regional HIA Training Services staff can provide you with a list of these required resources and their indicative costs.
