    The HIA Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our members and the residential building industry.

    A huge part of this commitment is to continue awareness and inspire action. Our latest program, the “Bucket Hat” campaign, is aimed at using the physical symbol of a specially labelled Bucket Hat, along with support material, to encourage conversations and reaching out.     As one of Australia’s first professional green building programs, HIA GreenSmart offers a professional training course and project and business accreditation for builders and designers wanting to develop new skills, and get official green credentials to help promote their services to the marketplace.     HIA works with The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) to assist members by providing free information on Australia’s migration programs to address skilled labour shortages.
