HIA currently supports beyondblue
beyondblue is an independent, not-for-profit organisation working to reduce the impact of anxiety, depression and suicide in Australia.
Three million people in Australia are currently experiencing anxiety or depression. Every day, eight people take their own lives. Because this affects all of us, beyondblue is equipping everyone in Australia with the knowledge and skills to protect their own mental health.
beyondblue is giving people the confidence to support those around them, and making anxiety, depression and suicide part of everyday conversations. And, as well as tackling stigma, prejudice and discrimination, beyondblue is breaking down the barriers that prevent people from speaking up and reaching out.
beyondblue’s tools, resources and services create mentally healthy environments. Through its dedicated programs, beyondblue support schools, universities, workplaces and community organisations to protect and promote good mental health.
The HIA Charitable Foundation (HIACF) is a major partner of beyondblue. Our partnership aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of those working in the residential construction industry, as well as to prevent suicide, and reduce stigma and discrimination.
