Western Australia's Building Development Group Constructions and Sana Living won the 2022 HIA Australian Specialised Housing for a development which exceeds the highest standards.
Winners were announced at the 2022 HIA–CSR Australian Housing Awards on 23 April.
Purposefully designed, this functional and responsive home cleverly meets the care needs of people with significant functional impairment or very high support requirements.
Currently home to three residents with varying requirements, it meets and exceeds the highest safety, design, and amenity standards.
The site, chosen for accessibility and proximity to local amenities, has been modified to incorporate smooth transitions between levels inside and out and boasts smart technology and automation to improve the lives of its residents.
The judges were impressed by the exceptionally well thought out design, attention to detail, and surpassing of standard requirements.
HIA’s Managing Director Graham Wolfe said the HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards recognise the best in Australia’s residential building industry.
