Residential Design

This project is a dual-purpose residence that challenges traditional ideas of home and work separation. Designed by and for a designer-builder couple, the project brings together a growing family and a thriving design business in one cohesive design response. Located on a sloping site surrounded by native gums, the home is thoughtfully divided into two distinct zones, a public-facing design studio above a four-car garage and a multi-generational family residence designed for adaptability and long-term living. The design brief was both personal and practical - a space that offered flexibility, privacy, durability, and beauty. The solution had to accommodate high-traffic creative operations while still delivering a calm and grounded home environment. This dual functionality became the driving force behind the design, influencing everything from spatial flow to material selection. Every aspect of Organica was designed to feel intentional, intuitive, and enduring.
