Facebook

While Instagram is an excellent tool for showing what you do, Facebook is all about the who, where, when, and why: think of it as a modern phone book listing.

Facebook business pages tell clients your vital statistics: opening hours, contact details, a website link and a little about the business. The growing popularity of pages has seen Facebook expand its offering in the past few years so now, if you want to, you can also include things like business milestones, staff members, mission statements, history, services, price guides and more.

It’s free to set up a page and you can even access ‘page education’ lessons as you go. These will teach you how to grow your online presence before you start posting content such as videos, photos, status updates and more.

When it comes to growing an existing page, or for those ready to invest in marketing and advertising, Facebook can also ‘boost’ or ‘sponsor’ pages or posts starting from a few dollars a day. This promotes your page to those within your target demographic and location, giving you control over your spend and also providing detailed campaign feedback through Facebook Insights.

#hashtaghappy

Be sure to use the hashtag #hiamember on your posts to get noticed by potential clients looking for a professional builder. Plus, Housing now features tagged posts in each issue.
