In just a few short months HIA members will have the opportunity to gather together on Australia’s beautiful west coast for the HIA 2019 National Conference.

To be held in Perth from 23–25 May, this unrivalled event will treat members and their families to the best HIA and the industry has to offer. The carefully planned three-day program will offer plenty of opportunities for delegates to enjoy the destination, and at the same time, to learn and share with likeminded members from across the country.

The HIA–Holcim Welcome party, to be held on Thursday 23 May, will take arriving delegates to the picturesque Sandalford Winery in the Swan Valley. The evening event kicks-off the conference celebrations, giving delegates a taste of Western Australia’s culinary delights, beer and wine. The rolling hills of the vineyard landscape will offer the ideal setting to party in style with other HIA members as the sun sets.

For the Business Building Sessions (partnered by James Hardie) on the Friday, HIA has locked in four high-profile speakers with diverse backgrounds and expertise. Get up to speed on industry issues and trends, upskill your business knowledge and be inspired by the speakers’ unique journeys. Their success strategies will no doubt open your mind to new possibilities for your business and help you to stay ahead of the competition.

Delegates will also get the opportunity to hear from writer and comedian Ben Elton at the Business Lunch (partnered by Bluescope).

Following the motivational sessions there will be free time to explore the local sights before coming together again that Friday evening for the HIA–Brickworks Networking party. This year’s event will be hosted at one of Perth’s newest state-of-the-art venues – Optus Stadium. The home of the reigning AFL premier’s West Coast Eagles offers an impressive stadium experience with all levels open to delegates. Standing beneath the city skyline views, the stadium will be a great place to meet and discuss ideas generated at the day’s Business Building Sessions.

Whether you’re a keen golfer or just enjoy a casual hit, the HIA Charitable Foundation Golf Day (partnered by ActronAir) is always a great event to stretch your legs and get involved in. The Vines Resort and Country Club in the beautiful Perth Swan Valley will host the 2019 event on the Saturday. Boasting two of the finest golf courses in the state, delegates can spend the day surrounded by native bush and the magnificent Swan Valley wine region.

For member delegates who would prefer something different, HIA has pulled together a list of optional recreational activities to enjoy for the day. But just make sure you leave enough time to get your glam on for the prestigious HIA–CSR Australian Housing Awards! When Saturday evening lands, the highly anticipated awards gala dinner will get underway at Crown Perth. HIA’s awards night of nights is a fantastic chance to celebrate our industry’s hard work and high achieving nominees; as well as party the night away with other delegates to the evening’s special performance.

Attend the HIA 2019 National Conference to experience a unique getaway, forge new business partnerships and come away brimming with fresh ideas and renewed focus.
