Are you looking for a better deal on your health insurance? Or perhaps you’re not sure if your current cover offers the benefits and features that you and your family really need. If so, there’s never been a better time to health-check your health insurance.

Why? Because, you can’t predict the future (but you can prepare for it.) Life can be full of unexpected surprises. That’s why Bupa has teamed up with HIA to make sure your corporate health cover works for you. From great rates to special benefits, we’ve got you covered.

Because life happens, and when it does, it’s good to know you can rely on Bupa to help you get through it.

As a HIA member, you and your staff can now access Bupa’s new Health Insurance plans. You’ll enjoy all the great perks of corporate membership and an ongoing 5% discount on your premiums. Plus, if you join Bupa by 31 July, you’ll also get six weeks’ free cover*.

This exciting new opportunity, available exclusively to HIA members and their employees, was developed in partnership between HIA and Bupa, says Archana Giri, Commercial Partnerships Manager at Bupa Australia.

‘The Corporate Health plans come with a range of enhanced benefits. Whether you’re labouring on site, dealing with tricky clients, or you’re on the road a lot, all these things can impact your physical and mental health in different ways. The features on the new Corporate Health plan, will ensure members get great benefits across these areas.

Some of the available features include:

  • Accidents happen refund – if you need hospital treatment following an accident, Bupa will refund your hospital excess for that admission*.
  • Accident inclusion - for accidents sustained after joining, treatment which is restricted or is an exclusion on your cover, will be payable in the same way as an included service 1
  • Massage, physio and chiro – feeling the strain after a big day on site (or at the desk)? Get 100% back on your first massage, chiro or physio visit at Bupa-recognised providers*.
  • Mental health – to help protect your mental health and wellbeing, Bupa can pay towards the cost of psychology, counselling, and online therapy at recognised providers.
  • Travel and accommodation – Bupa will contribute towards these expenses if you need to travel 200 km or more for hospital and medical treatment, which is great news for members in rural areas*.

Got questions? Book a free phone consultation

One of the biggest gripes many Aussies have regarding health insurance is its complexity. To address this, Archana says the Bupa Corporate plan is designed to be user-friendly and easy to understand.

‘To help HIA members who are interested in transitioning onto the Bupa Corporate Health Insurance program, we’re offering free one-one-one phone consultations,’ she explains.

‘These consultations are designed to explore and review your health cover needs, and determine the most appropriate product for you, to compare with your current plan. They are also non-obligatory and confidential for complete peace of mind.’

The one-on-one phone consultations are available to HIA members and their employees from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm on June 22, June 23 and June 24. Bookings can be made online.

Making the switch easy

Hate paperwork? Bupa’s got that sorted too: ‘Once you’ve selected the plan that best suits your needs and budget, Bupa can cancel your old membership on your behalf, and ensure your continuity of cover when you join. That means no paperwork and no need to reserve waiting periods that you’ve already served with your old fund2 so you can start claiming straight away*,’ Archana says.

And don’t forget: HIA members and their employees who join HIA’s Bupa Corporate Health Insurance plan before 31 July will get six weeks of free cover* – it’s a win-win for you and your wallet.
