Priceless peace of mind

Don’t settle for less than the best when it comes to choosing suppliers.

There’s nothing like finishing a project and walking away from it knowing you did a great job. Not only does it mean you’ve avoided complicated delays now and in the future, but it gives you the freedom to sleep easier at night and the confidence to show your latest projects with pride when dealing with new clients.

This peace of mind can’t be bought, it comes with honest, hard work. However, there are a few brands in the market that have found a way to make peace of mind a little bit easier to attain.

Working with names you know and trust is key to developing a positive professional reputation. Look for manufacturers, suppliers and service providers that go the extra mile to give you the results your clients expect.

Knauf Australia recently launched its warranty to offer customers complete confidence in its products both during and after a build. While a manufacturer’s warranty is nothing new, with many companies offering 10-year warranties on their products, Knauf says its new offering takes warranty to a new level.

The confidence Knauf has in its testing regime and advanced engineering system is evident with the company offering a warranty that covers the whole wall and ceiling system, providing a safety net for everyone involved in the project should something go wrong.

With the ability to specify the complete wall and ceiling systems from one manufacturer, you get the benefit of using products that have been designed to work perfectly in combination with each other, further improving performance.

When customers choose to make Knauf part of their solution, they also gain access to ‘Knauf Knowhow’ in the form of technical support, engineering, construction and onsite advice, online K-Spec tools and calculators. And, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, you have reduced your point of contact to one supplier who is responsible for all the products.

Another industry name making client confidence a priority is Dincel. The structural walling manufacturer is putting a spotlight on its comprehensive safety and compliance procedures, ensuring that all required testing and certification has been completed, so that you don’t have to wonder.

Dincel is an Australian-owned company with a 1.5-million square metre manufacturing capacity site in Sydney NSW, and distribution centres in NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
Dincel Structural Walling is an internationally-patented permanent polymer formwork system. It is lightweight and fast to install, resulting in shorter construction times. It is available in lengths varying from 1.8 to 7.95 m, and when filled with concrete its snap lock design be-comes waterproof.

The additional features and benefits make Dincel a good choice for projects where structural, waterproof, and acoustic and fire performance compliance must be met, for both internal and external walls from deep basement up to 60 storeys high.

In light of the recent cladding issue for multi-storey buildings, the company makes a point to note that Dincel Structural Walling has been independently tested by Warrington Fire to demonstrate compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC) for permanent formwork systems.

Dincel says its structural walling has been specifically tested to ISO 9705 (Deemed to Satisfy Solution) and AS5113/BS8414 (Performance Solution). Similarly, Dincel says it has also been tested and certified by the CSIRO as meeting waterproofing requirements of AS3740, as well as ASTM E 514-08, AS/NZS 4347.1:1995 and ASTM E 96/M 96M-05.

Placing your valuable trust with those who care about the safety and longevity of your projects benefits you and your clients for years to come. Another way to enhance the lifespan and quality of a build is ensuring you’re working off the latest and most accurate information.

You can stay informed of installation techniques and product updates, with access to specific and relevant information wherever you are by making the most of what companies offer online through apps and digital platforms.

MiTek’s PosiStrut App is an electronic catalogue giving builders instant access to information about PosiStrut floor and roof trusses. It contains the latest installation guides, case studies and links to short, instructional videos demonstrating the versatility of the product design.

Plus, there’s an inbuilt PosiStrut Calculator that provides you with detailed information on serviceability and dynamic performance to allow an informed choice of materials to be selected that best suit your needs.

The PosiStrut App is easy to navigate, allowing the user to find facts fast with a search feature, plus a favourites section. There’s also a help and FAQ area with comprehensive question and answer scenarios. And if you still can’t find what you need, a dedicated contact feature offers the chance to send in questions and have them answered by a qualified MiTek engineer.

Having a handy, onsite reference tool like the MiTek PosiStrut App makes so much sense, and best of all, the MiTek’s PosiStrut App is free.
When it comes to information management, there are a range of systems on offer for different areas of your business. Another crucial area technology can help with is in managing employee and contractor documentation.
