Winner: Bec Hopper for PAH Innovative Construction,
ACT and Southern NSW

Bec Hopper of PAH Innovative Construction in NSW was named the 2019 HIA Australian Business Partner at the 2019 HIA–CSR Australian Housing Awards on 25 May.

This year’s award winners were announced before hundreds of industry leaders at the prestigious awards ceremony held as the final night of the HIA 2019 National Conference in Perth.

The Business Partner category recognises those working 'off-site' to run a business within the residential building industry.

In 2011, Paul and Bec Hopper (husband and wife team) launched the business operations of PAH Innovative Construction, specialising in custom-designed and constructed homes. As the operations manager and first point of client contact, Bec has been praised for her personalised approach to customer service.

'Since the inception of our business, we always had a clear goal in mind when it came to customer service,' Bec said. 'That goal is to achieve complete client satisfaction by creating a building experience that is truly exceptional.'

Bec has been the key driver in managing controlled growth of the business, the implementation of business plans and the management of short- and long-term goals. With a strong community focus, she has also established herself as a leader for women in the industry.

HIA Managing Director Graham Wolfe said the HIA–CSR Australian Housing Awards recognise the best in Australia’s residential building industry.

'HIA is committed to recognising our members who excel in building exceptional homes, kitchens and bathrooms,' he said. 'We also recognise the professional builders and business partners who are ahead of the game in customer service and business practices.'

The awards are the ultimate platform to showcase the talents of the nation’s top builders and designers. Winners are selected from state-based finalists, with awards in 22 separate categories.
