NSW Low Rise Medium Density Housing Code

The Low Rise Medium Density Housing Code is now operational in 82 councils across NSW, with the implementation of the Code in the 45 remaining councils, listed below, now deferred until 31 October 2019. The deferral is to allow for an independent review to be undertaken of the Code.

The City of Ryde Council is deferred until 1 July 2020.

Professor Roberta Ryan of the UTS Centre for Local Government commenced the review in mid-June and is expected to provide her report to the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces by the end of July 2019.
