Do you need to access bushfire recovery support?

June 10, 2020

The Federal Government have launched a new website Recovery Connect that will make finding necessary bushfire recovery support in your area mush easier to locate and utilise.

People can search for different types of assistance they may need – be it financial, emotional, accommodation, environmental, physical health, food and household supplies or support for their animals. They are then directed to a range of support services available in their area.  It’s all right there from the homepage.

Recovery Connect is currently all about bushfire support, and will be developed in the future to include other disaster recovery services, such as for COVID-19 and drought.

This initiative has been developed by the National Bushfire Recovery Agency, for which HIA is part of key stakeholder group supporting the Agency.
