Building Practitioners Inquiry Board

In some cases builders are using plans which were not the current approved version. In the past this practice has rarely been picked up by Building Authority, however, as a recent case highlighted, when brought to the attention of Building Authority, the Authority has no option but to investigate and refer to the Building Practitioners Board for prosecution.
Be aware that any change that is not on the approved drawings requires an amendment to the building permit which means the proposed change cannot proceed until the amendment is in place. The application for an amendment to the building permit is required to be signed by the owner.
