New date - Contract administration short course

The HIA Workplace Services team will be running the Short Course on Contract Administration via video conference in July. The course provides builders and their contract administrators with information about how to prepare and administer HIA residential contracts.

Attendees will gain an understanding of the legislation relevant to residential contracts, rights and obligations of both parties, key contract terms and how to manage common contractual disputes.

The course is delivered across two sessions with each session running for two hours.

  • WHEN: Friday 24 July 2020 & Friday 31 July 2020 

  • VIA: Zoom (video conference) 

  • TIME: 2:00pm to 4:00pm on both dates

  • COST: $50.00 for members | $150.00 for non-members

Many members fall into the habit of administering contracts according to out of date practices and without properly understanding the legislation that applies. It is therefore important to ensure builders and their contract administrators are aware of the current rules to minimise the risk of costly and lengthy contractual disputes.
