June 15, 2020

The Premier has also released some information on the next round of easing restrictions in Victoria. Whilst display homes have always remained open  - the new documentation shows that from 11:59pm on Sunday 21 June Auction houses, real estate auctions and open house inspections and community facilities can increase to 50 people plus those reasonably required to facilitate/run the auction.

This supports that view that display homes can also accommodate up to 50 people with appropriate complimentary measures in place,  such as place a sign at the entry stating the maximum number of people who may enter the display home at any one time – applying the one person per 4 m2 rule and remaining 1.5 m apart. Essentially the social distancing requirements will ultimately limit the numbers that you can accommodate in a dwelling. You should continue to retain a record of the contact details of each visitor.
