Home Show Success

What a great success the Home Show has been again this year.

A very big thank you to all our members who participated and we hope that you have made plenty of contacts and leads for the year ahead.

The Building and Business Forum  - held in conjunction with the Home Show, was also an outstanding success. The Forum presented members with a range of building regulatory and business planning speakers  - and the information was highly relevant and helpful to members. We were fortunate to have Bronwyn Weir who is arguably Australia’s leading building regulatory expert provide a keynote address at the start of the day.

It was certainly very positive from the HIA’s perspective that the “Ask an Expert” stand proved to be very popular – booking out very quickly. A big thank you to our members who provided their time and expertise to once again showcase HIA members as the true professionals.

HIA’s federal election imperatives gain support from both major parties.

Housing is once again taking centre stage in this year’s federal election.

Both major parties have now committed to adopt HIA’s federal election 2019 Imperative #2 access to housing finance announcing a $500 million commitment to allow the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation to underwrite first home buyers with a deposit of less than 20 per cent, to a minimum of 5 per cent.
