Victorian Energy Upgrades Forum

HIA recently attended a Victorian Energy Upgrades Forum held by the Essential Services Commission, with speakers from Department of Environment, Land Water and Planning as well as Energy Safe Victoria. HIA submitted a comprehensive response to the proposed Victorian Energy Efficiency Target Regulation 2018.

The Victorian Energy Upgrades forum included topics on upcoming regulatory changes, stakeholder engagement, product applications, new gas efficiency activities, accreditation and VEET assessments and New IR systems.

Importantly a number of new regulatory changes commenced on 10th June 2019, that include changes to water heating, weather sealing, shower roses and a number of gas efficiency measures. Read more

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning is seeking feedback on proposed changes to the Measurement and Verification (M&V) method Specifications. These changes are based on the implementation and use of the M&V method. Read more

In addition, the Victorian Governments e-waste ban from landfill comes into operation on 1st July 2019. Accredited persons and installers will need to familiarise themselves on these changes. Read more
