Subfloor Ventilation for Suspended Concrete Slabs
August 18, 2019
Building and Energy have released Industry Bulletin 120
- Subfloor ventilation: suspended concrete slabs.
The bulletin reminds industry about dampness and the need to address ventilation in the subfloor space of a suspended concrete slab to ensure the performance requirements of the BCA are met.
This type of construction is often found with transportable buildings and may require alternative design solutions to provide ventilation or completing a performance solution with the building approval documents.
