From hiring to firing and everything in between - HR Docs is here to help!

Employing and managing staff can be challenging but HIA can take the pressure off with expert advice and tailored documentation to make sure your business runs smoothly.

HIA has a comprehensive library of HR documents which can be accessed by speaking with HIA’s Workplace Advisors. Documents can be purchased individually, in bundles or through a subscription depending on your needs.

Talking to a Workplace Advisor and putting in place a suitable HR system will protect you, your business, and your staff.

HIA’s HR top tips

Get it in writing

Having all the terms and conditions of employment set out in black and white will avoid any confusion about the arrangement. Whether that be a one-page letter of engagement or a more comprehensive employment contract – write it down!

Keep it up to date

As circumstances change it is important to regularly review your HR documents to makes sure they still reflect the relationship between you and your employee.

Make sure your expectations are clear

Putting in place workplace policies makes understanding and managing expectations, responsibilities, and obligations within the workplace easy.  However understanding the law can be tricky.  This is why HIA has put together a 10-policy document bundle, which in our experience is the most useful for our member’s businesses.

When it comes to an end

Whether it’s mutual, your employee finds a better job or things just aren’t working and you are forced to take action, nothing lasts forever! It is critical that if the employment relationships ends you know what your rights and obligations are and your employees' rights and obligations to ensure your business is protected and you do the right thing by your staff.
