The attention to detail by both the builder and the designer is what truly made this renovated home a stand-out in final judging. Transforming this art-deco courtyard apartment located in the 1928 built Mareeba flats, did not come without its challenges, including the issues regarding the original plumbing, wiring and structural issues. However, layers of colour, materiality and fine attention to detail bring home the feeling of opulence, practicality and liveability in this character-filled space now ready to stand the test of time.
