Custom Built Home $1.75 million to $2 million

Hunter Housing and Kitchen & Bathooms Awards

Winner: Baily Constructions

A work of art you just happen to live in β€” this extraordinary home is a celebration of craftsmanship, innovation, and design precision. Every element, from the suspended polished concrete slabs to the off-form concrete walls and ceilings, showcases the high level of difficulty and meticulous attention to detail poured into the build. Striking materials such as weathering spotted gum cladding and fibre cement bathroom finishes are paired with refined features like full-height pivot doors, custom lighting, and flush floor door tracks for seamless transitions. The concrete sink was custom poured and delivered to site, while the kitchen slab was craned in over the balcony β€” a testament to the ingenuity behind this build. With no joins in the flooring and carefully integrated planter boxes, the home blends raw materials with warmth, balancing the strength of concrete with the natural beauty of timber. Backed by extensive screw piles and executed to perfection, this is more than a home β€” it’s a bold architectural statement built to inspire.
