Built off-site in controlled conditions, these homes were delivered to remote Thursday Island to tackle housing shortages for low-income households, young couples, and small families. The design incorporates practical living spaces with durable materials suited to the tropical climate, providing comfort and resilience. Two homes are fully accessible, catering to residents with disabilities and mobility needs, highlighting a strong focus on inclusivity. This modular approach overcomes remote construction challenges, delivering sustainable, cost-effective housing that meets community needs while maintaining high standards of quality and accessibility.
