HIA WA Apprentice Awards

Winner: Ty Jones

Ty has consistently set the standard for what it means to be a dedicated and driven apprentice. Now in his fourth year, Ty is recognised for his exceptional work ethic, strong technical ability and positive approach to every task. Whether it’s arriving early, staying back for overtime, or stepping up to lead, Ty brings a high level of commitment and reliability to his role at Finnigan Group Aa a valued member of his team, Ty thrives in a collaborative environment and communicates effectively with colleagues, supervisors and clients. He is not afraid to ask questions, clarify expectations, and explore alternative solutions when faced with challenges. He is well presented, safety-conscious, and always compliant with company policies and procedures. From major milestones like contributing to the Armadale Train Station project to working remotely in Broome, Ty continues to broaden his skillset and take on extra responsibility; completing additional training like working at heights, safety officer certifications and excavator operation. With plans to pursue university studies after TAFE, and a passion for the trade that runs in the family, Ty’s journey from apprentice to emerging leader is just getting started. Ty is employed and hosted by Finnigan Group.
