We’re excited to announce the 2026 HIA NT Building Women Luncheon, taking place on Friday 29 May at the Darwin Convention Centre.

This special event celebrates the women shaping the Northern Territory’s residential building industry bringing together leaders, emerging talent and industry peers for an afternoon of connection and recognition.

This year, we’re thrilled to welcome Ashley Belteky as our guest speaker. From an unexpected start as a diesel mechanic to building her own business and advocating for women in trades, Ashley’s story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when you challenge expectations and back yourself.

Hosted by Amanda Jarrett, guests will enjoy a two-course luncheon, hear inspiring stories, and connect with others across the industry.

Tickets are now on sale we encourage you to book early to secure your place.

Keynote speaker

Ashley Belteky

Blue Leader founder

Ashley Belteky is a former high-achieving student who became a diesel mechanic, challenging stereotypes in a male-dominated trade. With experience across multiple industries, she now leads Blue Leader, helping trade teams build leadership and workplace culture skills. She also advocates for women in trades and promotes practical, people-focused leadership.
