Australia’s residential construction sector is facing intense pressure—tight margins, labour shortages, complex compliance, and rising customer expectations. AI is no longer emerging technology; it’s becoming a competitive necessity.

This focused 50‑minute session cuts through the hype to show how AI is already delivering real value across residential construction—from design and feasibility to estimating, site management, compliance, and customer experience. It’s practical, relevant, and grounded in Australian industry realities.

You’ll learn:

  • What is the difference between LLM (Large Language Model) and Agentic AI
  • What “AI‑ready” construction businesses are doing differently today and how they are leveraging Agentic AI
  • Where AI is helping builders protect margins and reduce risk from simple tasks to complex workflows
  • How productivity gains are being achieved without increasing headcount
  • How smarter use of data can reduce risk, rework, and disputes
  • What “AI‑ready” construction businesses are doing differently

Whether you see AI as an opportunity or a threat, one thing is clear: those who understand it early will be better positioned to compete, adapt, and grow.

Speaker

Mario Aguilera

sa.global

Mario Aguilera is a sales and operations leader with a background spanning residential construction and construction technology. He began his career in the building industry, holding an Operations Manager role within a local construction company, where he gained hands on experience across project delivery, site operations and the end-to-end residential build lifecycle.

He later moved into the technology sector as a Business Development Manager for a consultancy firm delivering digital and ERP solutions, specialising in the construction industry. This role strengthened his commercial capability and deepened his understanding of how technology can be leveraged to improve operational efficiency, financial control, and scalability for builders.

He is currently Sales Manager ANZ at sa.global, where he leads market engagement for enterprise platforms such as HomebuilderONE, built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. His work focuses on helping Tier 2 and Tier 3 builders transition from fragmented systems to integrated, data driven environments, with a strong emphasis on long term capability, visibility, and control across the construction.
