NCC 2022 Energy and Condensation

Course overview

NCC 2022 changes includes substantial changes to the energy efficiency and condensation provisions.

This includes houses and apartments now needing to meet 7 stars and new whole of home energy efficiency requirements.

But what does this all mean for the design and construction of future homes and apartments and for those designing, building, approving and supplying products to these buildings?

What will the session cover?

This 3 hour course has a range of experts providing a detailed breakdown of the new requirements, covering:

  • case studies and worked examples of meeting the 7-star requirements in various climate zones
  • tips and tricks to cost effectively meet the new requirements
  • application of the new energy efficiency whole of home provisions and thermal bridging provisions
  • detailed analysis of the condensation management changes
  • a recap of other NCC changes and what is causing the most confusion
  • a FAQ session on key interpretation questions that are arising in NCC 2022.

Are these changes applicable to my state or territory?

It is important to note that not all states are adopting the full suite of NCC 2022 changes, and there are various adoption and transition times across some states.

These seminars provide a broad overview of the NCC 2022 energy efficiency changes and provide different case studies for homes located in hot or humid climates and for homes in colder/moderate climates.

To confirm how your relevant State or Territory is adopting NCC 2022 refer to HIA's NCC 2022 Hub Page.

You will need to have access to an electronic device to be able to log into the online short course.

On successful completion of a series of online knowledge check questions, you'll receive a Statement of Completion. If you're a HIA member, your CPD point/s will be automatically uploaded to your CPD tracker on your myHIA dashboard.
