HIA National Conference

Where will the HIA 2026 National Conference take place?

The HIA 2026 National Conference will be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland. 
What is the registration fee for the HIA 2026 National Conference?
{{ propApi.expandedIcon }} {{ propApi.collapsedIcon }} HIA will offer affordable pricing on tickets to the 2026 conference. Check back closer to the date for details. 
What is included in my registration fee?

Registration includes:

  • Registration pack and HIA Welcome Party (evening)
  • Daily barista made coffee
  • HIA Business Building Sessions with keynote speakers

How do I register?

Does the registration fee include airfares and hotel accommodation?

No. You will need to book your accommodation and airfares separately.
What is the dress code?
{{ propApi.expandedIcon }} {{ propApi.collapsedIcon }} Most events at the HIA 2026 National Conference have a smart/casual dress code.  The HIA Australian Housing Awards dress code is cocktail.
What is the cancellation policy?
{{ propApi.expandedIcon }} {{ propApi.collapsedIcon }} If you can no longer attend the conference due to personal reasons or change of mind, you may cancel your registration by providing written notice in an email to conference@hia.com.au.  
Can I bring my children to the conference?
{{ propApi.expandedIcon }} {{ propApi.collapsedIcon }} You are welcome to bring children to the Welcome Party and the Networking Party however all children will remain the responsibility of their parents or guardian. There will be a small cost of $55 per child aged 12-17. Under no circumstances are children under the age of 18 able to attend the HIA Business Sessions, Workshops or the HIA Australian Housing Awards.
Can I purchase a ticket to attend to HIA CSR Australian Housing Awards?
{{ propApi.expandedIcon }} {{ propApi.collapsedIcon }} Awards-only tickets are not available at this stage. Should there be capacity to accommodate Awards-only tickets we will communicate to members. 
What other entertainment and activities are available on the Gold Coast?

There’s plenty of fun ways to enjoy the Gold Coast if you decide to fit in a holiday around the HIA National Conference.

Beaches like Surfers Paradise, Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta are perfect for swimming. Families can visit Dreamworld, Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, and Wet’n’Wild theme parks.

There are also great bars and restaurants in Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise.
What will the weather be like on the Gold Coast in April?

April is a mild and pleasant month on the Gold Coast, with average temperatures ranging between 16°C and 25°C.

Sunshine lasts for about seven hours each day. Sunrise typically occurs around 6:30 am. The sun sets near 5:45 pm. Expect plenty of sunshine and cooler, refreshing evenings.

The average sea temperature is around 23°C, gradually cooling as the month progresses.
Can I arrive on the Gold Coast before the conference or stay after?
{{ propApi.expandedIcon }} {{ propApi.collapsedIcon }} Absolutely. Each year members choose to make the NIA National Conference a part of their broader travel plans. 
Can I earn CPD Points?
{{ propApi.expandedIcon }} {{ propApi.collapsedIcon }} For those members who need to accrue CPD points, the HIA National Conference earns 5 points. You must sign the CPD register upon arrival at the Business Building Sessions for the points to be validated.
