Winner: TVD Constructions, NSW

The 2019 HIA Australian Townhouse/Villa Development was awarded to NSW building business, TDV Developments, at the 2019 HIACSR Australian Housing Awards gala dinner in Perth on 25 May.

This year’s award winners were unveiled before hundreds of industry professionals on the final night of the HIA 2019 National Conference.

Bridging the gap between waterfront beach house and luxury penthouse, the winning family-sized townhouses each enjoy a private pool or water feature and a lush tropical garden. Judges were impressed with the thoughtful design and construction, noting the excellent use of orientation with high-set ceilings and bright areas. Externally, natural stone walls envelope the entry to each home, while the underground basement has a discreet entry to the side of the development.

The HIACSR Australian Housing Awards illustrate the talents of the nation’s top builders and designers. Winners are selected from state-based finalists, with awards in 22 separate categories.

The Townhouse/Villa Development category recognises multiple dwelling residential projects in the one development. These can include dual occupancies, villas (one storey), townhouses (two or three storey) and terrace housing, whether attached or detached.

NSW members featured strongly at the 2019 HIA–CSR Australian Housing Awards winning six national categories in total, including Australian Home of the Year, Custom Built Home, Australian Apprentice, Kitchen Design and Professional Medium Builder/Renovator.
