Meet Danielle Bonello: Founder & Principal Designer at Danielle Victoria Design Studio, NSW
‘I studied Interior Architecture at UNSW straight out of high school, so I’ve been in the industry for more than 25 years. After working in a few architectural practices, I decided to start running my own projects around the age of 25. I kept things going while raising four kids, and in 2021, I officially launched Danielle Victoria Design Studio.
‘Being a mum has taught me the importance of family life, storage and practicality – lessons that flow directly into my design work. I create homes that are as beautiful as they are liveable, supporting the way families truly live.
Since launching, the studio has grown organically into a close-knit, talented group of women, and we’re now working on projects I truly love.Danielle Bonello
‘Collaboration is everything. Builders, trades, engineers, architects and consultants all bring unique skills and creativity to the table, and the best projects happen when everyone works as a team. Clear, respectful communication is key, and we always start with an onboarding meeting so everyone knows their scope and responsibilities. It sounds simple, but it sets the tone for the whole project.
‘I love seeing a project through from concept right to the finishing touches. There’s nothing quite like photo-shoot day – standing back, taking it all in, and seeing the clients’ happiness reflected in the finished space. That’s the magic moment.

‘Outside of work, I’m a mum to four teenagers, and they’re my biggest supporters. I love weekends away, long coastal walks, and fun nights out with my girlfriends.
‘Pilates keeps me grounded, and cooking is my creative outlet at home. Family life inspires my design philosophy – it’s a constant reminder of how important it is to create homes that are not only beautiful, but practical and designed for real living.’
