Brokis has released its latest lighting collection of suspended pendants, Awa – meaning bubble in Japanese. Created by Japanese designer Fumie Shibata, the shape and style of the handblown glass gives the illusion that the bulb is floating in the air, much like a bubble.
The pieces feature a wood and metal stopper, which has the characteristics of a cork that seals the glass bubble. Each bubble is different and is available in an array of colour options.
The Czech lighting brand Brokis originated to preserve the bohemian glassblowing tradition, manufacturing coloured glass through original formulas.
