Polished performance

For a virtuoso performance that hits all the right notes, trust Opal plasterboard from Siniat. Opal is suited for walls and ceilings in residential projects. This superior board features a special heavier-duty lining paper that pre-primed, creating a white and smooth finish. The result is near invisible joints and reduced glancing light issues. Opal is made with a high-density gypsum core for added impact resistance and superior acoustic performance. If walls could talk, they would ask for Opal.

Opal has been independently certified by Global GreenTag to GreenRate Level A and is available under the Siniat Carbon Neutral opt-in program.

Botanical beauty

Drawing inspiration from one of Australia’s best-known native plants, Banksia Ochre Matt brings serenity to any space. This 300x600mm tile from Beaumont Tiles integrates with various materials, including timber, concrete and stone. ‘In the bathroom, add Banksia alongside a lovely white porcelain bath and a white floor tile like Belga White for a relaxing space,’ says Beaumont Tiles Design Specialist, Rachel Gilding. Or in a living room, ‘consider using hybrid flooring such as ShowHome Vogue Maple, a low white lounge and a wicker armchair to embrace the beautiful Australian bushland’.

Touch of grandeur

Corner sliding doors are a beautiful and unique design feature, creating an illusion of a floating ceiling. They open the space, connect the indoors and outdoors, and create an alfresco dining area, which is great for entertaining. Vantage’s Series 618 Magnum™ Sliding Door from AWS Australia can position up to four panels in each direction, with the potential to span a massive 12 metres.

With heights up to three metres, the space is elevated to one of grandeur. When combined with a cavity slide option, the sliding door disappears into the wall, creating a seamless and unobstructed view.

Winter wonder

Engineered to heat living spaces up to 300 square metres, Scandia’s new Warmbrite Series 4 collection provides freestanding woodfires featuring classic steel design. The Warmbrite range comes in four models: 140, 200, 280i and 300. The 300 is the latest traditional design, with a large fan-forced convection fire and a three-speed electric fan.

This is ideal for large, open-plan homes where ambience is paramount. To complete the woodfire solution, add Scandia’s flue kits, hearths, maintenance products and fireside accessories. Scandia is an Australian brand available from Bunnings Warehouse.

Getting a handle

To create a cohesive look throughout the home, introduce Iver’s Osaka door hardware collection. Its simple lines and unique combination of rounded and flat forms suits contemporary interiors. The Osaka collection features matching door levers, pull handles and cabinetware in a choice of finishes – brushed brass, brushed chrome, polished chrome, matte black, satin nickel and signature brass.

The cabinetware includes pulls in four sizes, plus a striking half-moon range featuring a drawer and lip pull, cupboard pull and large pull, with optional matching backplates also available. All of Iver’s collections are fully stocked in Australia, so users can receive products within two to four working days.

Corrugated cladding

Manufactured in Australia for over 100 years, the iconic corrugated shape of CUSTOM ORB® remains one of Lysaght’s most popular roofing and walling styles. Not only is it used to reroof traditional homes and to give an authentic look to heritage-inspired reproductions, but it’s also traversed construction eras and architectural styles, with CUSTOM ORB® cladding increasingly being used in the latest contemporary architectural designs.

Shaped from COLORBOND® steel, featuring strength, rigidity and low-maintenance appeal, CUSTOM ORB® is ideal for Australia’s demanding conditions.

On the wall

Both innovative and sculptural, Evove’s system of wall-mounted surface panels turns blank walls into an art installation opportunity. Produced using sustainably sourced timber, Evove’s current range, Artexture, is designed by leading Australian creatives, such as industrial designer Adam Goodrum, designer Caroline Casey and more.

Each project uses a machine-cut backing board that acts as the canvas for the surface panels. Individual panels are simple to install on and off the wall with Evove’s clip-panel system. This system allows the space to have ultimate flexibility and new patterns can easily be created, establishing a completely new look.

Fridge flair

Keen to attract prospective young, creative clients looking for a design edge? Try the LG Objet Collection, which offers new fridges and freezers sporting a range of colour panels. Available in French door, single door and upright freezer formats, it marks a step towards personalised appliances in the Australian market. The customisable colour panels are available in various colours and finishes, including silver, green or black stainless steel or beige, silver, pink or mint mist glass.

Thanks to its zero clearance hinges, the upright freezer and single door fridge can be installed flush against the cavity for seamless integration into the existing space. The flat-door design also achieves a custom, built-in look.

Innovative material

Master Oak panelling from UNILIN is a new decorative panel that has the look and feel of oak but provides the durability, sustainability and maintenance benefits of high-impact performance surfaces. Available through Big River Group, the product offers six ready-made designs, four with wood hues and two in uni-colours. Colourfast for longevity and a timeless look, its multi-texture surface is three times more scratch- and stain-resistant than real oak.

Its natural appearance is enhanced even more by the different types of pores and depth variations. Master Oak panelling also gives a matte finish that has almost absent shine levels for a natural ‘unfinished’ effect.

An Australian legend

A trusted brand in Australian homes, Caroma has had a proud track record stretching more than 80 years. Its Innovation & Design Centre boasts products that are designed and engineered with market-leading technology. These products consistently exceed Australian standards. Its hygiene and sustainability innovations include: Caroma Cleanflush rimless toilets for a cleaner clean, with Dual Flush water-saving technology; Caroma GermGard hospital-grade microbial protection; and Caroma Vjet, a tailored shower experience with variable water spray.

Caroma’s ranges suit any taste or budget, whether it’s practical Luna, refined Liano II or the contemporary Urbane II. For a personalised experience, turn to the Caroma Experience Centres, which provide practical information and in-house design consultants.

High impact

A multifunctional plasterboard that’s engineered for extreme impact is CSR Gyprock’s latest release, EC08™ Extreme. It’s reinforced with materials that provide increased durability. This includes a dense fibre-reinforced core, fibreglass mesh and a thick face paper. The new 13mm board achieves high levels of resistance to soft and hard body impact and surface indentation.

Further benefits of EC08 Extreme include good acoustics as well as fire-, mould- and moisture-resistance. EC08 Extreme also provides easy handling and installation, conventional jointing methods, and a superb finish after painting. Made in Australia and Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) Certified, the low-VOC board is manufactured with a high level of recycled content.
