Award-winning builders P.A.H Innovative Construction are redefining regional homebuilding with craftsmanship, mentorship and a passion for personalised design.

Kerryn Ramsey

Senior Content Coordinator

For Paul and Bec Hopper of P.A.H Innovative Construction, entering the HIA Awards isn’t just about accolades. It’s about recognition, reflection and the pride of sharing their work with the wider industry. Now in their eighth year as entrants, the couple recalls how it all began.

'When we first started, we were just a small start-up business,' says Bec. 'We thought entering the awards would be a great way to get our name out into the industry. We were so excited when we won our first award and now, to stand where we are today, it’s amazing.'

That journey culminated in May when P.A.H was named 2025 HIA Australian Professional Small Builder/Renovator. 'It’s very rewarding after all the time and effort we put in,' Paul continues. 'It’s also rewarding for our team, our trades and our suppliers.’

Based in the NSW regional city of Wagga Wagga, P.A.H Innovative Construction primarily deals with families, retirees and business professionals, with projects often situated on acreage or rural properties. It currently employs eight staff members with five onsite and three in the office. ‘We collaborate with over 70 trade contractors who align with our core values,’ says Bec.

A recent achievement was the purchase and transition to new business premises, featuring a client meeting room, staff offices, and carpentry and welding workshops.

'We’re always striving to improve, not just in the homes we build, but in how we run our business and support our community,' says Paul. 'The HIA Awards are a reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go.’
