2021 HIA-CSR ACT & Southern NSW Home of the Year announced

2021 HIA-CSR ACT & Southern NSW Home of the Year announced

Media release
A stunning property by Manteena, Architects Ring & Associates and The Dept. of Design has taken out the 2021 HIA-CSR ACT and Southern NSW Home of the Year.

The awards were announced tonight in a virtual ceremony.

“The 2021 Home of the Year highlights the extremely high standards of this year’s entries, with modern architecture and workmanship of the highest quality,” said ACT and Southern NSW Executive Director Greg Weller.

“The HIA awards bring together the top builders and designers in new home construction, renovation, and kitchen and bathroom projects.

“They vie for the chance to win awards across a range of categories that are judged by a panel of industry experts, and some will ultimately go on to represent our region at the Australian Housing Awards, which will be held on the Gold Coast in May next year.

The Riverina Home of the Year was also announced tonight, which was won by A D Tanner Constructions.

The Apprentice of the Year was won by Bailey Greenwood.

“Congratulations to all the winners, representing the best in country, coastal and city living across a diverse region that includes the Riverina, Canberra and the South Coast,” concluded Mr Weller.

Judges’ comments on the 2021 Home of the Year

The winning home is a collaboration of award winning designers and builders, who have come together under the guidance and direction of the owner to build a truly inspirational dream home. This home has all the custom features you would expect of an award-winning project.

The construction detail is finished in a meticulous way, with a respect to installation of materials selected. This family home accommodates the idea of work and play, inspired by airport interiors making you feel on the move to your next destination.

This design achieves a very spacious and liveable interior, with spectacular views of Canberra’s landmarks, and creates a connection between the location of the block and nature.
