2021 HIA-CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen and Bathroom Awards winners

Media release

2021 HIA-CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen and Bathroom Awards winners

Media release
The HIA-CSR NSW Housing and Kitchen and Bathroom Awards showcase the achievements of HIA members in the NSW housing industry.

“This year marked the 51st anniversary of the NSW awards which were held virtually again due to COVID-19 restrictions. It was great to see so many entrants and partners tuning in and celebrating with staff and family from locations and parties around the state” said David Bare Executive Director HIA NSW.

The coveted 2021 HIA-CSR NSW Home of the Year award went to Heanesbuilt for their ‘Contemplation House’ in the Byron Bay area. Effectively managing the challenges presented by the site, complex construction elements and attention to detail impressed the judges. The home also won the NSW Custom Built Home and the Custom Built Home over $3 million and will represent the NSW region at the 2022 HIA Australian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards, to be held on the Gold Coast in April 2022.

Kitchen of the Year was taken out by Degabriele Kitchens NSW and Bathroom of the Year by Avant Constructions.

Two of the most important awards categories are the HIA NSW Roger Pysden Apprentice of the Year which went to Luke Davis from John McDonald Building Services and the NSW Business Partner awarded to Catherine Romeo from The Perfect Space Design + Build.

Adenbrook Homes, Masterton Homes, Fairmont Homes, Firstyle Homes, Kurmond Homes and Metricon Homes all picked up awards in the highly contested display homes categories with Raymond Vincent Homes taking out Display Home of the Year.

Eden Brae Homes won the Professional Major Builder award  with Fairmont Homes taking out Professional Medium Builder. Blue Eco Homes won the Professional Small Builder award for the second year in a row.

To add to their haul Heanesbuilt also took out Apartment Complex of the Year.  The Renovation / Addition Project of the year was awarded to Critharis Constructions.

“Congratulations to all this year’s winners and finalists for outstanding achievements in workmanship, innovation and design. The winners of major categories can look forward to progressing to HIA’s national awards next year and I wish them every success” concluded Mr Bare.
