“The winning property is a stunning example of scale, sophistication, attention to detail and exceptional workmanship,” Peter Fry, HIA North Queensland Executive Director commented.
“Built predominantly on one level, the home cantilevers over the ridge with an open-plan design that seamlessly connects all areas, fostering a sense of spaciousness and connection.”
Mr Fry described Pine Ridge Retreat as “a masterpiece that perfectly balances architectural ambition with the art of luxurious living.”

The HIA Cairns Kitchen of the Year, partnered by The Marble & Granite Fitters, showcases modern luxury. A stunning porcelain island bench and matt white soft-close cabinetry exemplifies modern luxury with its balance of natural tones and high-end functionality.

MyStyle Homes won the HIA Cairns Greensmart Sustainable Home, partnered by Green at Heart, for their MyKinkera Style project. Achieving a 9.3-star energy rating, the home incorporates passive solar design, triple roof insulation and natural ventilation, while meeting specialist disability accommodation standards. The highly functional and sustainable home provides high performance and heartfelt design.
Mr Fry stated that the HIA Awards, which are strongly supported by valued industry partners, are designed to recognise building and design excellence. "The awards showcase the latest innovation, technology, and modern trends in new homes, kitchens and bathrooms," he stated. "We are extremely proud of the exceptional work being produced by HIA members and congratulate all the winners and finalists.”
