The Housing Industry Association (HIA) has proudly recognised South Australia’s outstanding women in building and construction at the 2026 HIA South Australian Building Women Awards, held at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The event celebrated the achievements, leadership and impact of women who are helping shape the future of South Australia’s residential building industry.
Winners were announced across seven categories, showcasing an outstanding range of talent from emerging leaders and accomplished professionals to those who have made a lasting contribution to the industry.

ATO payment change adds mounting pressure on home builders
The Housing Industry Association (HIA) is calling on the Australian Taxation Office and Federal Government to reverse the decision to cease accepting credit card payments from 30 November, warning the change needs to be viewed against the cumulative financial pressure already confronting residential building businesses.

“Housing commencements rose in the year to June 2026, but the latest data reflects yesterday's market, not the conditions facing builders today,” stated HIA Executive Director Victoria, Keith Ryan.
